Did you ever hear that “myth” that everyone has a twin somewhere? Well this proves that it can be true, even if they are not identical!
Take two women, hundreds of miles apart, send them out to scout out a great deal on some beautiful home décor and guess what you will get? They will come home with the SAME DISHES! Nola and I purchased the same dishes last week! She posted our “Tablescapes for Less” feature last week comparing a PB tablescape and one she put together for a fraction of the cost. Here is my vision of the “Stay-cation” tablescape for those of us who will not make it to the beach this year!
I included some shells gathered by the family from beach vacations past.....
I mixed and matched my place settings as I like to do, Green on White and White on Green...
Each place setting has a coffee cup as well as a La Rochere glass in a beautiful seashell pattern

These sea shell handle spreaders are so cute!
Another awesome find at Home Goods, a sea shell bowl at only 4.99!
My favorite find: The La Rochere glasses for only 4.99 at Marshalls! An adorable juice pitcher and salt and pepper shakers help complete the table.
Everything was purchased at Bargain Prices and each place setting cost aproximately $20 (with the exception of the flat ware) If I remember Nola’s post last week, each one of the PB napkin rings cost about that much! Did I mention how much I love Home Goods, Marshalls and TJ Max!
A Huge Thank you to Susan at Between Naps on the Porch http://www.betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/ for hosting Tablescape Thursday!
Blessings to you!
Karyn

WOW!!!!!!!!I love your tablescape. Everything goes together so perfectly and I simply love beach-y decor. That mermaid is beautiful. That's really amazing that you two bought the same dishes! :O) Also....To except the award, all you do is display it on a post in the same manner that I did. This is my first award too! And I received it from Charlotte's Weblog. She even taught me how to make links for everyone's blog!I'm very techno challenged. Before January of this year I still had dial up computer service and had never used a digital camera or ever blogged before! But I'm getting the hang of it. I hope this info has helped, if you need more help, please let me know! Blessings, Mary :O)

This is a great table! I love all the ocean inspired dishes and accessories. I am from FL and now live in NC. I miss the coast, the beach and laid back lifestyle. Your table makes me homesick - I guess I'll have to add a little coastal flair to my own table.

ReplyDeleteI wanted to come by and congratulate you on your award too. I'm also a recipient of Mary's kindness. As a fairly new blogger, I'm still working my way through the ins and out of blogging. Please feel free to ask me for help though.
By your style of design I thought you might enjoy Miss Cindy...I can't even put words to describe her blog except to say it's exquisite, at the least. She is truly inspirational!

She also gave a tutorial on fondant seashells that was incredible and easy. Just stroll back a bit on her past posts.
I've joined your followers list. I'm updating my blogroll soon so if you'd like to stay in contact I'd love to add you.
