Secretary in need of Makeover.....

I found this very cute secretary and hutch on Craigslist for $75.00. I had been looking for one to go in a guest room and the size of this one is perfect for the space.
Other than a crack in the mirror it is in wonderful condition. She just needs a little makeover! New paint, new hardware, and beadboard to replace the mirror. (Inspiration pic taped on front)

Now, I have to decide on the paint color, I'm thinking creamy white, slightly distressed with a glaze to make her a little vintage and possibly a pretty shade of green or blue on the inside, like the one in my inspiration pic. I'd love suggestions as my paint color decision-making skills are definitely set on s-l-o-w....

On the left....

I zoomed in on my inspiration photo found in Coastal Living magazine. I love it!!!! (Sorry for the poor quality of the picture).

The one below from Wisteria has similar lines and I like the paint technique.

I like how clean and fresh this all white secretary from Pottery Barn looks. It would be more my taste with a little splash of vintage....

Thank you Rhoda at Southern Hospitality for hosting Today's Thrifty Treasures.

Have a lovely week!
