Look What I Bought for a Penny....

Not exactly a yard sale find, but it's been a rainy weekend so I stayed indoors.

I noticed it on the clearance shelf marked down from $59 to $12 and when I went to check-out it priced at $0.01. I inquired about the error and the cashier informed me that some of their vendors won't allow them to clearance items so rather than throw the items in the trash they sell them for $0.01. Where have I been? Home Depot is one of my favorite stores, the closest one to my house is 2.2 miles and I spend a-l-0-t of time there.

I haven't found a home for my new lamp 'Penny'...am I the only one that names things???

Thank you Rhoda at Southern Hospitality for hosting Todays Thrifty Treasures.

  1. OMGosh! What a great buy. I'm going to Home Depot this morning for paint. I've never checked for a clerance shelf, will have to look for a bargain today. Penny is the perfect name for your new lamp. ♥

  7. WOW! I can't believe that find, what a cute little lamp. Lowes told me they have to throw out their displays, but I had no idea that HD sold things for 1 penny either! That's amazing & I bet you were SO shocked. Thanks for playing today.
